Exotic Nuclear Systems : International Symposium on Exotic Nuclear Systems. In these proceedings from the June 2005 symposium, contributors describe their work in theoretical experimental and theoretical nuclear physics, the main topic of which was the physics of weakly bound neutron-rich nuclei, giant resonances, cluster structures, high-spin states, nuclear matter and fundamental interactions, as well as new experimental.
Concluding Remarks on the International Symposium on Exotic Nuclear Systems ENS'05. Journal Article Habs, D. ; f. Kern- und Teilchenphysik, Am Coulombwall 6, D-85748 Garching - AIP Conference Proceedings. In nuclear physics within Europe we observe a strong concentration onto a few large-scale facilities like FAIR, ALICE and EURISOL, which at the same time results in a strong focus of all resources towards these facilities.

This event finally changed the modern nuclear physics and nowadays a great number of investigations are devoted to studies of exotic nuclei in a vicinity of both neutron and proton drip lines. It will be connected to a high-energy storage ring, new fragment separator SuperFRS, a collector ring, and new experimental storage ring. The new facility will provide 15 times higher energy and 100 times higher intensity of primary beams, while intensities of secondary beams will be 10 000 times higher than at present GSI’s facility.

This book is a collection of talks presented at the International Symposium on "Exotic Nuclei" EXON2006 which was held in Khanty-Mansiysk Russia (Russia, west Siberia) during 17-22 July 2006. The International Symposium of Exotic Nuclei (EXON2006) was dedicated to the problems of producing and investigating nuclei far from the line of stability. Nowadays unique techniques for the synthesis and investigation of the properties of exotic nuclei are being developed together with the realization of large accelerator projects for radioactive ion beams.
