This is the worst textbook I have ever seen. If you are interested in being indoctrinated with social just warrior ideology, go ahead and take a class where this is the textbook. Granted, I have tried to avoid such classes so I'm sure there are more serious offenders but I dropped this class after spending a few days looking over the textbook. Would be a total waste of time and money. It's obvious that there's no interest in actually educating anyone with this garbage.

It's such a shame because the study of geography is such a marvelous discipline.

The condition was okay, but there were over 50 pages missing from the middle of the book that I really needed for my class. I prefer to have a physical book verses an online version, which is why I rented this one. I had to get the online version also in order to have the missing sections from 2 chapters, but kept this one for the rest of the semester so that I could have the hard copy on hand. I wish there was a way to make sure the book was complete before spending money on something that you can't use.

This book manages to introduce and combine both physical and human geography from around the globe. It maintains a neutrality that made me initially question the usage of the label 'Middle East' to 'West Asia'. It should be a must-read for every American from all backgrounds.

Yeah, I was told I needed to purchase this book for my World Regional Geography class but then we winded up not using it. Despite not having to use it, the item arrived on time so I recommend this.

I am renting this book and it came in very good condition. I do not like the way this book reads, but that is my professor's fault for picking it. I am taking this class online and have found that this book as well as the one for our regional geography class read the same. A little difficult because it is all factual and does not read as easy as some of my psychology books. The authors don't try to relate the info or make it personal, they just state it and it's hard to remember everything because nothing sticks out to you. If I had a choice, I would look for a different book for the students that is more clear and points out important info, because reading this book is like reading a dictionary and then being tested on definitions after every letter. The information is all in the book, but there is so much that it is impossible to memorize it all, so you have to be quick at recalling page numbers and using post-its or flipping through the glossary.

That headline pretty much sums things up. The book is SO boring and dry. Most college textbooks are. But it's a genuine textbook, no mistake.

good book. bit outdated
Good book honestly, taught me a lot on World Regions and how different nations came to be. Buy used and not new for your class.
