Now this is a book that I can take advantage of. This book has a lot good stuff to sift through to help build campaigns and storylines. It even uses a couple of writing techniques as way to give the gamers an idea of how to proceed. The war themed campaign is one has always been a part of the game and this book covers it best my experience out all the other books that I used. I especially like the way that they gave the best example of incorporating a the PC adventures into a mass warfare campaign giving the characters a good back and forth in play style.

If you ever plan on running a military setting, war setting, or any large-scale combat scenarios involving armies, this book is an amazing help for planning it. In addition to useful strategies to organizing these large battles, the game also includes a reputation and promotion system for tracking a player's progression through the ranks. It also contains a very helpful section in the front concerning how to handle a group of players in campaigns like those listed above which I found invaluable in designing mine. There are also a few prestige classes and new feats (as well as rules for siege weaponry!).

Overall, I can't think of one thing to complain about.

This book is based upon using massive battles. If you are doing a military style campaign where you heroes are either a soldier in a army, or leading a army this is the book for you. If you want to do massive army on army battles, this is the book for you. I personally love this book since it easily allows you to introduce military ranks, missions, objectives, and general life to players. If this is what you are looking for, then get this book.

This book has been vital to my weekly D&D game. The book rises and falls on the idea of epic clashes between giant armies that your players influence. The Victory Point system is increadible, it has really helped my players to get into the game. It lets even low level charactes feel that they are vital. It is easy for the players to fall out of the spotlight in a giant army, this book makes that a thing of the past.

The prestige classes don't over run the book and that is a rarity in some of these supplements...a welcome rarity.

A surprising aspect of the book is the appendix which gives you monster stats for monsters of different ranks. (Orc general, drow priestess)

This book is almost as important as the Player's Handbook if you are running a war themed campaign.

I was really excited to find this book, as its one of my favorite supplements. I was even more excited to see that it wasn't exorbitantly priced.

great addition to 3.5 but a lot of mechanics are fairly irrelevant to a standard campaign.

Good stuff, I was familiar with the content of this book beforehand so I knew what I was getting.

This book is good for all D&D players who wish to add some depth to their mid and high level campaigns. It's standard 3.x material, some new feats, some new spells, prestige classes and some monsters. This book takes the rules from the Miniature's Handbook and takes it away from the "miniature" part. Thus more into a RPG setting, which I like.
