The reader really roots for "happily ever after" with this couple.

Love, bravery, chivalry, and everything in between that we die-hard readers desire. This is a great story -- I love this writer's historical romances -- she manages to weave a great tale, good plot, and a whole lot of laughter. She seems to do her best comical work with goats as well as other animals.

I have read each of the books in the Highland Brides' series and have enjoyed each one. They are by no means perfect, but they are enjoyable and have enough joy and sorrow to keep them interesting.

If a book doesn't grab me in the first few pages I know I'll most likely not finish it. This was one of those. I am an avid reader and this book just plods along with random attack scenes and confusing inner dialog and relationships. I bought it based on other reviews but I dont understand how anyone can rate this higher than a 1. I stopped reading it after 4 chapters because it just never got any better. I hate an unfinished story and this is 1 of 5(out of around 200) I had to delete from my kindle due to lack of interest.
