This was a fairly typical "time warp" novel, with the main character ending up in Civil War era and Indian fighting. The storyline was well written, with mostly accurate portrayal of the time period. The very end of the book seemed to conclude too quickly, but the story was resolved. I would certainly recommend this as a good pick for a reader.
I do not usually read romance stories. I find them just copies of each other you know boy meets girl. boy loses girl etc etc etc. But this has me up half the night reading. Heck I think I feel in love with Joseph. What women wouldn't with the way the author described him. LOL Good story one that I enjoyed a lot.
While participating in a reenactment Stacey is transported back to the time period they were portraying. She is apparently the only one who survived an attack and unbelievably finds herself in the body of her great or great great grandmother. When she looks in the mirror she is suddenly twenty years younger. Her grandmother married a man named Cal but she herself is drawn to the half Indian/half Irish Joseph. Could acting on her feelings for Joseph alter her own history? Could she cease to exist? That could happen for other reasons as many other women lust after Joseph, most notably Caroline. And the man who she is staying with keeps leering at her. This was definitely an interesting historical romance that gave a little background into the history of Native Americans.
Fascinating depiction of old Texas and life there. Creative storyline and wonderfully rich characters. Intriguing concept of time travel and a love that would not be denied.
Great product. Thank you.
Love Me
Interesting story line. Some unexpected twists and turns that keeps you guessing. Good character development. Documented historical Information woven into plot
This was one boring book. I had to make myself finish it because usually when I start something I run the course. Apparently I was impressed with the description and book jacket.
This book kept my interest the whole while- the weaving of multiple story lines and multiple loves, just so well done. I would recommend it to anyone who likes a good story with a lil love and mystery thrown in!
