The Best Is Yet to Come (Desire) by Diana Palmer

It's an okay book, not the best of Palmer but not the worst. Made a bit of a change from most Palmers as she was previously married (though of course it was an abusive marriage) and initially I thought it had been a happy one. Basically just a book for the complete collection not the wonderful story. 3 people found this helpful.

Sure, Diana Palmer is big on her angst, but this book is just full of useless misunderstanding between hero and heroine that I found ridiculous. I don't like the heroine because she's kind of stupid and I don't like the hero either because he do nothing but brooding and living in a past. So this book is sort of disappointment.

... but alright to pass time for a few hours. I can definitely write better than this! Train of thought bounced around, hard to stay focused when characters exhibited bi-polar tendencies. I believe this is one of her earlier works though, so it makes sense. Do I recommend it? No.
The Best Is Yet to Come is one of Diana's older stories that was originally printed back in 1991 and has been hard to find in the original Silhouette Desire #643. (It was once listed on Ebay and Hardtofindbooks.com for $50 for the original book.) So, having said that, I loved finding this reprint and getting a bonus story by another favorite author - Maureen Child.
This is another classic Diana Palmer. Strong hero, as always, operating under a misapprehension, Brave, but also struggling, heroine. If you like Diana Palmer, this is for you!
I buy every book she writes. I started with her Long Tall Texan series and have loved her books every since. She makes you laugh and cry she's great!!
no real woman would act the way Ivy was written. the story line isn't plausible. if any man treated me the way Ryder did I'd hit him in the head with a two by four.
I like Diana Palmer books, and although I try to stay away from these books, I can never resist a Diana Palmer book.
I am an avid Diana Palmer reader, however--her story line was very thin. The emotions she tried o portray throughout this story were confusing to say the least. I'm hoping any new reads by her improve
