Whitestone
Wilkins writes quiet romances, concentrating on the characters' thoughts and feelings. While she doesn't write explicit sex scenes in general, the romance itself is second place in this book. The young heroine has trouble making new connections because of her lack-of-family background, and the hero works very slowly because of it. This is not the Alpha so common in Categories, bulldozing her into the relationship, but a guy moving so cautiously that half the time, the heroine isn't sure he IS chasing her. It was different, and refreshing.

There were some strong, albeit minor, interpersonal aspects that interested me. He is a youngest child, and you see that in his determination to keep his romantic intentions private, as his family would be all in his business. And as a reader, I wasn't that aware of the age difference between the two leads, but every time the hero found the heroine with his same-age cousin, he was jealous, specifically for that reason.

I really didn't warm to the heroine, and I can't articulate why. Her actions were admirable, but I found her a little morose for my taste. And the grand revelation at the end was NOT a surprise, although I liked the nuts and bolts way it went down.

Finally, much of the story was devoted to the large family cast, most of whom were probably characters in their own books that I haven't read yet. So, if I was already a fan of the Family Found series, I would have loved this book. But as this was my first, I thought a little more time could have been devoted to the main couple.
