Daily Guideposts is by far the best daily devotional book I have ever had. I am Catholic and often find it difficult to find devotionals that can appeal to any Christian, no matter the denomination. Not so with Daily Guideposts! Each daily devotional begins with a Bible verse, then a personal story from an array of wonderful down-to-Earth Christian writers follows that ties into the verse of the day in a motivational, upbeat, sometimes humorous, sometimes emotional way. A short prayer, 1 or 2 lines long, ends the devotional. With the exception of a few years when I tried other devotionals, I have had Daily Guideposts every year since I was a senior in college, and I plan to have one every year for as long as they print this wonderful book!
I now have a guidepost book for any year that starts on Sunday, Monday, etc. Love Guideposts ... and the articles never go old!
I purchased this copy for my granddaughter who moved away to start college. Members of my family have read and enjoyed Daily Guideposts for over 30 years. Each day you get comforting inspiration as well as a section for your own journalling/diary. It is a great way to begin your day; and through the years we have all grown to know the regular contributors. Norman Vincent Peale started all this and it is continued by the new editors in his wonderful tradition. Highly recommend.
I have been using Guideposts Daily Devotionals for the past fifteen years. The devotionals are thought provoking and edifying. Many times they coincide with what's going on in my life. I write my thoughts in the place provided at the end of each month, then pass the book on to my neice each January. I have favorite writers such as Julia Attaway and her husband. These books are an spiritually uplifting when added to your daily reading regimen.

I have been reading Daily Guideposts for many, many years. I look forward to reading a story every day. I feel like the various authors are long-time friends. As soon as I get my new devotional in January I read all the author updates and see if they have changed their photos. As I read the story every day I say a prayer for the author, too!
I have been reading the Daily Guidepost books for many years. As of January 2012 I'd read all volumes from 1978 through 2009. I purchased 2010 and 2011 via Amazon.com to get ready for my 2012 daily reading program. As of March 13th I'm on schedule to finish both volumes on the last day of the year.

It's never bothered me that I am never reading the volume for the current year.

I find many thought provoking and useful items in the books and sometimes quote from the books in two Google blogs I write. I recommend Daily Guideposts as a good way to get a daily reading program started.
The Daily Guideposts get me through each day. I purchase them each year.
I read the past Daily Guideposts as I ride my stationary bike; because the volume is from a previous year, I feel that I can read a whole month at a time. I really see something fresh in each reading.
