How to Be Born Again

Being born again means giving up your old life to live a new life through Christ Jesus. Becoming a born again Christian might sound difficult, but God has made it easy for his faithful to come to him. By accepting Christ, you can come before God and be born again. If you want to be born again, start by becoming a Christian. Then, live your life for Jesus as best you can. Finally, you can grow your faith by attending church, reading the Bible, and praying.

To be born again means that will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you (Ezekiel 36:26). Old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). We are partakers of the divine nature (2 Peter 1:4); we have passed from death into life (John 5:24). How do we become born again? By repenting of sin. That means we are willing to change our way of living.

In his book, How to be Born Again, Mr. Graham gives practical advice for new Christians to aid in their growth. But there is also much information that can be gleaned from a seasoned Christian as well. Listen to this quote from page 145, Chapter 11 (The New Birth) "But as Christians we need to do something about social inju Billy Graham is quite possibly the most respected man in the Christian world, at least in my opinion. I have many of his books, and I am trying to build an entire collection  . The above Scripture is the basis of this book; however, Billy Graham goes into detail of what it means to be born again and the common errors that people have about what it means to be born again. Pastors Bud & Betty Miller on How to be Born Again. Why can’t men live in peace and enjoy the good things in this earth? The Bible (God’s book to mankind) gives us the answer to these questions and tells us how to be born again and what that means. He tells us in His Book that all the troubles in the world are due to either my sin or someone else’s. All of mankind is sinful, thus separated from the holiness of God. The Bible says that men and women can only find salvation in Christ Jesus. Born of the Flesh – our Sin Nature. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

Evangelist Billy Graham wrote a book in 1977 titled, How To Be Born Again (ISBN: 0-8499-0017-4). I have a copy of the book in front of me. I have read the book and it contains some disturbing material that is contrary to the Holy Scriptures. Here is an example of the blatant heresy taught by Billy Graham in his book. After his conversion, the Apostle Paul took three years of study in Arabia. It took God forty years to train Moses on the back side of the desert before he made his public appearance

Jesus tells us that we must be born again. How do we do that? Written by ActiveChristianity. You put off your previous way of living and thinking, living according to the lust to sin in your flesh. You are born anew into a life with Christ; you become a new creation that is Spiritual and eternal. Jesus is pretty clear when He says that a Christian must be born again if they want to see the kingdom of God. Jesus answered and said to him, ‘Most assuredly I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of Go. ost assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

How can that help if I see a hanging bronze snake? If it were a drug, I would believe, but it can not be so simply. God wants to be trusted on the Word and He is the same yesterday, today and forever and He does the same miracles. So, for a man be born again, he must believe wholeheartedly in Jesus Christ: Because God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life

As a result Nicodemus asked Jesus to explain. Nicodemus could not understand how a person could be born after leaving the mother’s womb. How do you get back in? Nicodemus said to Him, How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he? Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.

You must be born again. The religious leader who heard these words first spoken 2,000 years ago seemed stunned by them. This, Nicodemus, a Pharisee and ruler of the Jews, had already acknowledged his belief that Jesus Christ had come from God, "for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with hi. Chapter three of the Gospel of John records this intriguing conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus, giving us a vital key to the kingdom of God. Both believers and unbelievers still use Jesus' words "born again," and many, like Nicodemus, are still.

Everything Mr. Graham wrote has meaning and worth to the reader. It certainly did in my case. I highly recommend this book for a sinner who wants to be made whole by Jesus and also for the Christian who has or is battling the evil one. God bless you all.
Billy Graham's insight into the scripture as it affects our every day life is invaluable. This book is a positive addition to anyone's library.
Great information. Everyone should read.
I love this book by Billy Graham. It is so easy to use in a Bible study along with his study guide on the book of John.

It was very informative and helpful. I recommend it for those who are unsure about this subject.
Billy Graham is a wonderful preacher and writer. I read this book and gave it as a gift to my sister because she had questions about going to heaven. It explains everything for people who do not even know who Jesus is and also for those who know something about Him. I recommend this book to everyone who has questions about their soul.
Graham is an engaging writer, and it is interesting to hear his own view of his ministry in spots throughout this book.

There are two ironies in Graham's theology represented in this book. First, his understanding of conversion seems to be based on human volition, although he often calls it an experience suggesting passivity. Second, having made a decision (human volition) sanctification appears to be a matter of yielding and letting God do the work. By contrast (in terms of sanctification) Paul made it his aim (i.e. a volitional commitment) to be pleasing to the Lord (2 Cor 5:9).
