Linda K. Richter is associate professor of political science at Kansas State University where she teaches budgeting, public personnel, and the policy process. She is the author of Land Reform and Tourism Development: Policy-Making in the Philippines and numerous articles on Philippine administration and comparative tourism policy. November/december 1985. State-sponsored tourism. However, it is a measure of tourism's "trickle down" impact that in 20 states selected for closer economic analysis in this study, all reported that tourism had benefitted every county in the state. This diffusion of revenue is significant as an economic and political base for broad support for state tourism.
