Still one of the best books on the link between stress and illness/disease. Very readable, with a practical "point system" that compares the amount of stress experienced within 12 months and the likelihood of developing and illness or disease. A must read for anyone in the health, and particularly, mental health field.

“Mind as Healer, Mind as Slayer” shows readers the definite link between stress and physical illnesses of cardiovascular disease, cancer, arthritis, and respiratory disease. This book is considered a classic in body-mind awareness. I include this title in the in the recommended reading section of Chapter 3: Energy and Your Emotions in my book, Your Body Can Talk: How to Use Simple Muscle Testing for Health and Well Being.
Good summary of a very interesting aspect of mind-body healing. Research based but useful too.
