Two new Plagiochila species (Plagiochilaceae, Hepaticae) from Yunnan, China. To accomodate P. aspericaulis and the three closely related species, P. caulimammillosa Grolle & M. L. So, P. hyalodermica Grolle & M. So, and P. parvivittata Inoue, all with a hyalodermis of mammillose cells, a new subsect. Caulimammillosae within the sect. Zonatae is segregated. Plagiochila durelii Schiffn. proved to be highly variable in paraphyllia characteristics and the following ten species names had to be placed in its synonymy: P. alata, P. bhutanensis, P. ferruginea, P. hamulispina, P. harae, P. sawadae, P. thomsonii, P. torquescens, P. unialata, and P. vietnamica
