Lori Smolin received her . degree from Cornell University, where she studied human nutrition and food science. She received her doctorate from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Its a book that had to be purchased. Does not come with code for on-line literature.

This was a text book needed for a college class. I saved over $60 by renting the electronic version from amazon vs purchasing it from the schools book store. That was awesome savings. I was able to download chapters whenever and had no difficulties. Book had a wealth of information that helped with tests and final exam, but also on nutritional tips, exercise advise, and supplement facts to apply in real life to live healthier. Overall no complaints

I needed this book for my college class Intro to Nutrition. I am headed back to finish my degree after a 20 year college absence. This book is more then helpful for me to reach my goals. There is also online websites that go with the book for even additional help. I was surprised to find it was a binder book as that was not stated in the product information. It works fine, but that information would have been nice to know ahead of time.

I got this book as a rental is was nice and worked. But whoever had it last didn’t take care of it. There were stains on it. Pages ripped, I was scared to open some of them for fear of making it worse.

I got this for my sons class because we could not afford to purchase this textbook. Instead of buying this, we rented it thru amazon. Even renting it was very costly,but after a careful thought, we are not adding this textbook to our collection. If you are getting this course consider renting this textbook not unless you plan to be a dietician as your main career. Don't waste your time putting this textbook off because prices of all textbooks will fluctuate during the start of each semester.

It presents the material in a really simple way with lots of pictures and charts. I loved that it was a binder edition so it was cheaper (although the pages are relatively thin so a few pages ripped at the hole punches. This is the first textbook that I didn't want to sell back because that information is really useful in everyday life (and in my future career of being a nurse)

This is a great book, I using it for school because I do not really like electronic books. The seller delivered on time and was in good condition even though it was used. It has a lot of information on nutrition and can be bought to add to your collection of books.
