This concise handbook presents a systematic approach to the positioning of canine, feline, and exotic animal patients for routine and special radiographic procedures. The primary focus is on providing visual aids of animals in position for radiographic procedures.

I grabbed this for my team at my animal hospital and they find it to be very informative. Their complaint about its functional use is that the pictures are not labeled with the common names which makes it difficult for quickly identifying and diagnosing intestinal parasites and the like. I would love to see one of these that has a separate appendix with image references for that purpose. Otherwise, the language is very clear and it seems up-to-date in terms of how medicine is being practiced now.

This book is wonderful for the learning veterinary technician. Now that I'm graduated, I still refer to this book. Great pictures and information!

My rating is not based on content but on the Kindle version of this book. They should not offer a Kindle version of this book. This doesn't begin to deliver what all other Kindle Textbooks do. 1) The PAGES ARE NOT NUMBERED. This is extremely problematic when trying to determine what you need to read for assignments. The instructor of my class provides page numbers to read and I'm left guessing WHAT I'm required to read. There is no way to tell WHERE you are at in the book or how many more pages need to be read. 2) The text CANNOT be resized within the Kindle app with an iPad. The SIZE of the TEXT will NOT INCREASE or DECREASE. Even turning the reader on it's side does not help enlarge the size of the text and in fact reduces it. Instead, when the reader is turned on it's side, two pages in smaller text appear rather than the one page. 3) Highlighting text is nearly impossible to get right because the size of the text cannot be increase (I'm not sure if the highlighting allows for flashcards and given how difficulty this book is to use, I likely won't even try to use them.) 4) PAGE TURNING: sometimes the page turning is so sensitive, the reader skips ahead several pages. This wouldn't be such an issue BUT the pages aren't numbered. I find I have to exit all the way out of the book, go back in to the app, back in to the book, find the chapter I'm supposed to be reading based on the name, go to that area and then find once again where I was at in the reading. 5) This book freezes a lot. I'll want to turn the page or move to the top of the page and it just won't move. I have to exit the book and the app entirely and go back in. Again, this wouldn't be such a big issue but the pages aren't numbered. I then have to identify the chapter where I was reading based on the name, go to that area and then find once again where I was at in the reading.
It's hard to believe that a e-book textbook could be on the market for purchase that has such awful functionality. Avoid the Kindle version, save your money and sanity and buy the hard copy of the book.

Detailed. Clear writing helps one understand the techniques and methods used in the Veterinary Clinic setting. Units are broken up into smaller bits and this really helps with studying. This is a new format with this latest edition. I also have the previous edition and this current one really is better for studying and learning from.
