What I like most about this cookbook are the beautiful photographs. Each recipe has a large color photo of the finished product, as well as some with pictures of the prep process. The instructions are clear and easy to follow and gives the nutritional value for the finished item (protein, fat, carbohydrate, fiber and cholesterol per serving) Some of the ingredients are given in metric proportions and most of the recipes provide a standard conversion in brackets. For the few recipes that don't already provide the conversion there is a metric > standard chart located in the back of the book, which I found very helpful. Also in the back of the book is a chart that gives the alternative names of some ingredients; such as capsicum = bell peppers. I had to look up some others, such as; rocket leaves = arugala and rock melon = cantalope. I'm learning new, tasty recipes and expanding my vocabulary, now that's a good cookbook! This cookbook will make it very easy to increase the number of vegetarian meals in my families diet.

The best thing about this book is the detailed information in the front about how to eat healthily as a vegetarian. There are tips on where to get your proteins, how much of what types of foods to eat, and what to avoid to maintain a healthy vegetarian lifestyle. For this reason, I recommend this book to all vegetarians, especially first-timers. In fact, I buy it for all my friends who are starting a vegetarian lifestyle so that they make better, healthier choices. As for the recipes, they are beautiful and tasty and easy to make. There are lots of photos (which I like so that I can see how yummy something looks before I make it). Get this book. You won't regret it.

Lots of great recipes and ideas I'd never thought of. Also has nutritional info to consider when becoming a vegetarian.

This is an excellent cookbook with clear pictures and no-nonsense. Me and my wife sometimes prepare 5 different recipes in a week from this book. It provides precisely the basic ingredients you need and a few simple steps to prepare a recipe. Both the cooking time and total preparation time are given and accurate (often 15-20 minutes and you're done).

We are probably going to buy a new copy soon, because ours is stained with sauce and other spilt ingredients due to very frequent use in the kitchen!
