Eugenia Chandris started out as a trainee in the hospitality industry and then worked in her family's travel and hotel business. In 1985 she wrote the Venus Syndrome, a study of the female body from manyview points - medical, anthropological, physiological and holistic. It was one of the first books to explore why so many women deposit fat on their lower halves. She appeared on many radio and television shows including the The Morning Show with Regis Philbin. She is also the author of several articles on travel and on growing up Greek in London

This is less significant than they make it sound. For a book written by a man – John Barban – The Venus Factor does a great job at understanding the psychology of female dieting. When you look at his credentials, it’s not surprising. His formal education background is a degree in human biology and nutrition and a Masters In Human Biology and Nutrition also from the University of Guelph. Luckily the Venus Factor is designed to optimize weight loss for women specifically. I’m not allowed to reveal all the secrets here, but let’s just say that the book explains how to overcome these biological disadvantages.
