The book includes words to a special poem written by Julian Lennon, specifically for Touch the Earth. Touch The Earth is the first book in a planned trilogy. A portion of the proceeds from books sales will go to support the environmental and humanitarian efforts of the White Feather Foundation. Journey across the world with the White Feather Flier, a magical aeroplane. Julian Lennon believes that if you can teach children to love and understand the planet, they will naturally care for it. This book is all about getting his message across in a fun, interactive, child friendly manner. The plot is wonderfully eye opening, and the raw illustrations bring the story to life. This book will definitely be a big hit with the kids. I’m sure that Julian’s message will get into the hearts of lots of youngsters, and adults too. At the back of the book there is also a special poem by Julian, titled ‘Touch the Earth’.

Nine year old John Lennon (1940-1980) poses for a portrait with his mother Julia (1914-1958) in the front garden of "Ardmore," which was the name of the home of John's cousin, Stanley Parkes circa 1949 in Rock Ferry, Cheshire, England. Ray Connolly was supposed to arrive in New York City from his native England on Dec. 9, 1980 to visit his pal John Lennon for a few days at his apartment in the Dakota building. But of course it didn't happen, because on the evening of Dec. 8 the former Beatle was shot and killed right outside his home.

The book that goes with the Great Courses Geology course by the same professor. Easy to read, with all the diagrams he has in the videos included. This book goes into more detail than course.
The textbook Planet Earth sells for $125+, this copy (an earlier edition) sold for $5 used. There is almost no difference that I could find between the two editions, so how could I say one bad thing about this purchase? Not at all! The book was in decent condition, and arrived as ordered. If this is the book that is needed for your course, then this is the way to buy it.
An excellent accompaniment to the "Great Courses" lectures.
Very good.
Got here quick in good shape. Just what I wanted and cheaper than anywhere else.
