Anthony Frewin (Author). Although four decades have passed since this book's publication and it therefore has limitations, it nevertheless provides a fascinating if rather superficial overview of SF illustration, particularly the golden years. It also usefully draws our attention to nineteenth century precursors of more familiar artists and their work. The reproduction of the images is good for its time.
