In the book, Sex, Love and the Physically Handicapped, Evelyn West Ayrault states that this volume is an attempt to liberate sexually the physically handicapped by broadening the acceptance of them by the non-handicapped. The jacket indicates that the target audience is not only the physically handicapped themselves, but also a variety of health providers, counselors, and, indeed, anyone who has known a handicapped person. The book continues with a discussion of the importance of sexuality and early development, neither of which are integrated. There are no particular insights in the text that would be helpful in dealing with the disabled - that is, there is nothing new presented about the subject. The most helpful and germane portions are the various briefcase studies that are given to help illustrate a point the author is trying to make.

The Brothers Lionheart (Swedish: Bröderna Lejonhjärta) is a children's fantasy novel written by Astrid Lindgren. Many of its themes are unusually dark and heavy for the children's book genre. Disease, death, tyranny, betrayal and rebellion are some of the dark themes that permeate the story. The lighter themes of the book involve platonic love, loyalty, hope, courage and pacifism.
