The DSM IV is widely heralded as the bible of the Psych world due to it's comprehensiveness of diagnosing. Shrink rap has the potential of gaining this status with regard to psychotherapy, but for different reasons. It is comprehensive in that it gives young psych. majors insight as to how the old pros handle situations. Editor Kassan interviews 60 practicing Psychotherapist with regard to their most intimate trade secrets. They include their first cases, how they handle the boring patient, the seductive patient, and where they see they field going next. Like moving from college Professor to Professor we see how one person's answer differs from another. The book is user friendly with different font and indentations for questions and answers, a percentage breakdown of how therapists answered and a table of contents which groups areas of similarity.
