Notes and Queries is a "medium of for "readers and writers, collectors and librarians", published in England since the mid-19th century. Notes and Queries began publication with the November 1849 issue. The numbering is a bit confusing, since it went through many "series" of volumes (usually 12 volumes per series). Frequency has varied from weekly to quarterly.
