THE B TEAM by Mike Resnick It had not been a good year for the Mau Mau. The British had brought in their army, and what. CMC Chalker tells the story of Hell Week from both the perspective of a student and an instructor. While at times the book seems chaotic and disjointed, it works, given that Hell Week itself is chaotic and disjointed.

The third instalment of the HOME TEAM series, a combination of Vince Flynn and Richard Marcinko. Ex–Navy SEAL Ted Reaper and his expert team must rush to stop terrorists from launching weapons of mass destruction at the next space shuttle launch in Florida.

Ex–Navy SEAL Ted "Grim" Reaper has faced down enemies all over the world––and true to his name, when he shows his face, for the enemy, death is never far behind. But now he and his trusty group have turned their sights on protecting America within their own borders––the Home Team is ready and willing to take on any threats that evil, scheming terrorists can dream up.

Now an old Soviet partisan has resufaced, and while he may be without a homeland, he's not without the secrets of some of the deadliest biological weapons ever created––secrets he's willing to sell to the highest bidder, allowing terrorists to wreak unprecedented damage on American soil. And worse yet, once the terrorists strike their horrific bargain and obtain the weapons, they plan to target the U.S. when it's most vulnerable––during a shuttle launch in Florida, while the whole world is watching. Repear and his sturdy crew have never come up against a challenge like this before––a challenge with so much at stake––but if they don't stop this horrific plan, the sights of 9/11 will be a faint memory, as America, and the world, reel from this catastrophic attack played out in front of every television viewer worldwide.

I too thought this one was a little less readable than the first two. I read all three in a row which may have been the problem. Reading 2-3-4-5 pages of the equipment the team was taking on a mission does get old pretty fast. The plot of this one also seemed less unique than the previous ones.

A personal bias, I really dislike it when a book (or movie for that matter) doesn't end. The ending was too predictable. I won't spoil it but when you're 5 pages from the end you just know what did or did not happen to the bad guy, just like in a horror movie when you know they will let you know the monster is still alive.

Perfect

One of a series of three books written by Dennis Chalker & Kevin Dockery. Only ONE anomaly, that was purposely changed for the saving of some readers' sensitivities.
The Rollers of Vildar
This 3rd installment of the Home Team series was my least favorite thus far. The former two novels were much better.

I like details, but sometimes there is way too much of it in terms of specialized equipment. When it goes on for page after page, the pace slows down to a crawl.

This was an overall good read, just didn't find it as exciting and thrilling as much as the first two novels.

WOW! Dynamic writing duo, Chalker and Dockery, know their stuff when it comes to weapons, combat experience, writing high-octane action and adventure, and much more.

I couldn't put this one down. Read it in two days. A must read for anyone who likes very believable and fast-paced adventure reading. I look forward to getting their other novels, both past and future.

I thought this series of books was extremely well done. The characters feel like someone I have met and the locations feel like a friend is describing someplace he visited on vacation. The story hits me as realistic and enjoyable. Dry is the last word i would consider using to relate to this story. I would pay loads to read the next book right now.
