STRANGE CHANGE is a contemporary fantasy about a young man who discovers he has the incredible power to become anything he can imagine himself to be. Brandon of Westminister, Colorado, said: "STRANGE CHANGE is a great story about justice and how greed can kill you. The end has a wonderful moral that makes you think. It really opens your eyes. Jack Wilcox of Henderson, Nevada, said: "I finished STRANGE CHANGE the other day, and I loved it! It was so twisted, the story itself fantastic! I used to have childhood fantasies and could relate to the main character in scary ways. Nothing in the novel felt unimportant. Every word you wrote was significant. I could go on and on, but just wanted to let you know I really enjoyed STRANGE.

About Nicholas Ifkovits. Nicholas Ifkovits began writing his first novel longhand when he was ten. At age eleven he started a neighborhood newspaper (The Deerpath News), cranking out funny smelling blue-text copies on a mimeograph machine. Does anyone remember mimeograph machines?) Born in Chicago, Illinois, a graduate of Northern Illinois University, he is the author of four novels; The contemporary fantasies Cloud Drops, and Strange Change, and two dramas inspired by real events, Other Dreams, and Harmony’s Angel

He knew Peter and Laura didn’t blame him for the fire that killed their family, they’d both repeated the sentiment ad nauseum, but their words would never change the role Derek had indeed played. Whether he’d been a naive pawn or not, his family was dead because he’d trusted the wrong person, loved the wrong person, been played for a fool and eight people paid the price. To Peter and Laura, seventeen years was long enough to move on with his life, but Derek disagreed

Graphic. Thought-provoking. In fact I'm a total comic book nerd, and found myself passing up my weekly stack just to read your novel, and believe me, that's saying a lot!" Linda Carlisle of South Bend, Indiana, said: "STRANGE CHANGE kept my emotions flying with a lot of surprises along the way. You definitely leave the reader guessing! I hated Trenton at the end (through most of the story I empathized with him) and although only a book, justice prevailed! I love the way you tie-in spirituality, a good, suspenseful plot, and keep the reader's emotions going from happy, sad, mad, glad, etc... You make the reader stop, think, and reflect. Thank you!!"

I like this book. It show you from good person what you become. And it show you when you bad what you will get. The story very good from start to finish, but I didn't like on the end. I think , should give him another chance to correct his mistake. Overal I give it B+

Reading some of the former reviews I was looking forward to reading a great escapist novel. Well it was not. Writing style was not good, lots of logical faults ruined what seemed in the first place a good idea. The timeline is a mess, and the ending not that good. Want to read about man becomes woman, read The Sex Gates trilogy instead.

The book was disguised christian fiction. after the first chapter almost every over page was quoting scripture or moralizing. Also the book was baddly paced and the ending rushed. The change from good to bad made no sense and was not explained. The ending made no sense, based upon the premiss of the book. Overall I could not recomend this book to anyone.

This book felt more like Christian fiction than fantasy. Not that that is bad but it was not at all what I thought I was buying. Just not my cup of tea.

I really enjoyed Strange Change. Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down. It's not just a "good" book, it's a great book! Usually it takes me about two weeks to read a book, if I'm into it. I read Strange Change in two days. That is how much it grabbed my attention. I'm glad I took the time to go to [...] and check Strange Change out. I'm going to tell everybody I know about this book. It was a pleasure to read and I enjoyed every bit of it. I would give it six stars, or seven or eight, but the most they let you give is five. This was a great find, and I look forward to reading other novels by this author.

Sincerely,

The cover should have tipped me off on this one. It looks like someone did it on photoshop with little thought behind it. The book is the same way. It starts off with a boy using some magic power, given by God or the devil, who turns himself into a model in a Walmart ad. The girl turns out to be some child model on her way to being famous. The problem here is Walmart uses no pro models in their ads. All the people are family of employees. The rest of the book is just as bad with unrealistic dialog, characters acting in ways no rational human would and a timeline that makes the whole thing just stupid.

Incredible escapist literature, Strange Change will not soon be forgotten by anyone who reads this tightly written, breathlessly paced novel with an ending that hits like a slap in the face. What a mix of fantasy and thought-provoking philosophy! Unbelievable! Unforgettable! This author is genius as yet undiscovered by the masses he so obviously loves. At once heartwarming and chilling, you won't be able to shake this one off anytime soon. It will leave you thinking long after you've closed the cover. It will change you.
Strange Change is unlike anything I've ever read before. Readers of every genre from Tolkien to Tolstoy will be deeply moved by this absolutely brilliant contemporary fantasy about a boy with the awesome power to change the world. Unfortunately, his utterly selfish inclinations move him to change only himself, with disastrous results that will leave the reader not only richly entertained, but deep in philosophical thought.
