I was happy to receive this book as it was to complete the collection of the brides of the desert rose.

this book was a waste of time, I only finished it because I hate starting books and not finishing them, and I own it (for now). The main character, Allie, is an Arabian princess trying to avoid her future marriage to some older man. She manages to dupe those around her into letting her stay (until the ruse is up) on Cord's ranch as his house keeper.

She has no housekeeping skills (though she does pick up a few in masterful fashion--suuuure) and has him wrapped around her finger in less than a second. There was no point to me reading this book, there was a complete lack of give and take and the characters were very flat. I was unable to remember the hero's name half the times (especially with his neighbor, Cade). Also I was more interested in the clear budding romance and set up for the next book in the series, between Allie's brother and Cord's sister.
