Author: Danielle Steel Narrator: Brian Keith Lewis Publisher: Brilliance Audio Format: Unabridged Audiobook Delivery: Instant Download Audio Length: . hours Release Date: June 2008 ISBN: 9781423320340. This is the first Danielle Steel book I've read. I didn't like the way the characters were presented. I never felt like I "was there". She also seems to repeat herself a lot which I don't like. A light read that is typical Danielle Steele. A nice read when your world seems overwhelming. Brian Keith Lewis is an actor and real estate broker. He has been a featured real estate expert on NBC, PBS, CBS, FOX, CNN, CNBC, and in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, New York Magazine, Financial Times, New York Observer, New York Sun, and New York Post.

The incomparable Danielle Steel breaks new ground as she takes us to nineteenth-century England, where a high-born young woman is forced out into the world-and begins a journey of survival, sensuality, and long-sought justice. Angélique Latham has grown up at magnificent Belgrave Castle under the loving tutelage of her father, the Duke of Westerfield, after the Against All Odds.

Danielle Steel has been hailed as one of the world’s most popular authors, with over 590 million copies of her novels sold. Her many international bestsellers include Happy Birthday, 44 Charles Street, Legacy, Family Ties, Big Girl, Southern Lights, and other highly acclaimed novels. She is also the author of the story of her son Nick Traina’s life and death.

Уou ll never walk alone
Having lived thru journeys of my own, this book touched my heart and soul. I agree with a review I read before I started reading, that this book should, and would benefit all young women that read it. Anyone that reads this book would benefit by the touching, yet thoroughly truthful way it handled ALL types of abuse that occur. I'm happy, sad and emotionally exhausted after my journey with this wonderfully written book. Danielle Steel has yet again proven to be an expert at what she does. And she does it with such a finess and fairness and feeling that I look forward to my next journey...
This is a book that ALL women, especially teen age girls should read... to recognize all the different forms of abuse that is put upon women. It is not a sexual porn movel... it just defines the life of a woman whose husband uses all the abuses, except physical abuse, with his wife. It is how she reacts to it. As a child this woman experienced physical abuse, and she thought that abuse was only limited to physical abuse. Her husband did NOT commit physical abuse to her, but he used all the other abuses. She did not know he was a very abusive man. The main character of this novel, had to learn from a doctor by attending conferences about female abuse. This main character had to learn how to gain the courage to free herself from this situation. This novel is a LEARNING TOOL... about ALL the different abuses committed on women. Every older teen female should read this book. It will allow them to recognize abuse... and to find a future husband that does not have abusive traits. It is a WELL WRITTEN novel. Something that every female should read. I think it should be a book that is a staple reading book in all Female Abusive classes... I truly recommend this book.

I simply love Danielle Steel. Her books are the best. I can't put them down. She's a great writer. I'm so glad Maddy got up the nerve to leave Jack. I'm also glad Lizzie found her mom. I'm sorry for the tragedy that occurred at the mall and all the precious lives lost. Especially Andy's mother. But it happened for a reason. Now Maddy, Bill, and Lizzie are happy with their new baby. Another good read by Danielle.
I love Danielle Steels books. But this one took me over half way thru it to really begin to enjoy it. At that point I was finally pulled in to the book, began to enjoy it. There were several twist and turns, just like real life.
Our lives are truly a Journey. Some bad, but always try to enjoy the good as much as possible. The good is there, if we just keep hanging on, as Maddy did in this book.
Too slow for me.
Maybe such a serious subject did not warrant a glamorous backdrop.
Sorry some of us endure it without the glitz.
Wonderful story full of excitement and joy what everyone needs to read instead of all the violence we have in this world. Also gives women living with a verbal abuse is just as hurtful as physical abuse.
Every person who has ever felt the pains of abuse with or without the bruises should read this story of hope and healing.
Danielle Steel is finally putting some spark back in her books. I had all of her books at one time. Even the poems she wrote. After The Klone and I my interest in her writing diminished. It seemed as though she was pumping several books out a year without giving some meat to the books.
