US Nuclear Warhead Facility Profiles is the third volume of the Nuclear Weapons Databook, a series published by the Natural Resources Defense Council. This supplement is a condensation and updating of the author's Nuclear Weapons Data Book, Volume I; Volume II is in preparation. The Administration, building new warheads as fast as it can, has refurbished and expanded the Department of Energy's nuclear weapons production capability. Its production rate is now almost 1500 new nuclear warheads per year, significantly higher than the rate of the mid-1970s.
