The department of true naturopathy at the University of Jena was transformed under his leadership from a polyclinic for naturally healing systems into the Clinic and Polyclinic for Biological Medicine K. E. Rothschuh, Ernst Schweninger (1850–1924). Zu seinem Leben und Wirken. Ergänzungen, Korrekturen, Medizinhistorisches Journal, vol. 19, no. 3, pp. 250–258, 1984.
