This book is alright if you have never spent time in a gym with somebody who knows what they are doing. It's a good place to start but know that there are many more things you can learn. Spend a little dough and invest in a couple of sessions with a personal trainer that can work with you and develop a program for your SPECIFIC goals.
Also, be forwarned, the rubber bands that were included do not have handles. Go to a local sporting good store or gym and get some with the handles. They are much more usefull.
I really liked this book, it combines a basic flexibility program and also incorporates simple conditioning exercises used for surfing. I have had a shoulder injury for a while and this book has helped me get my shoulder back in shape for surfing. I also like the rubber tubing so I can exercise anytime.

This book helped with my flexibility and coordination. I like that there are stretches given that I can perform on my board while I am waiting in the line up. I also liked that tubing comes with the book so I don't have to spend time and money at the gym.
