The show explores some of the beauty that can be enjoyed, as one opens to the senses, to a larger sense of time, to the imagination, and to others. An Enchanted Journey is a two-hour show that combines a variety of live and recorded music, special lighting and sound effects, and a PowerPoint presentation of 406 images that are coordinated with the poems and the music. She is a poet and the author of Images for Wholeness; Strategies, Poems, and Stories to Transcend Cultural Illusions. She composes music for and plays the psaltery, a Renaissance instrument. Gary Blanchard is a songwriter and composer who plays guitar, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, electronic keyboard, and harmonica.

After obtaining two graduate degrees, she worked in human services and quality assurance for many years. Carol has written and co-written several books, listed below.
