by Tanya Barnard, Sarah Kramer. Better than its predecessor, this book finds Barnard and Kramer reaching out to their friends and readers for additional recipes. Clearly this book also went through more rigorous testing than the first one, as I ran into far fewer quirks in the recipes. The one oddity I came across was a sudden penchant for using olive oil in almost every recipe calling for oil. Needless to say, I did not follow this trend. LibraryThing members' description.

This is the second time I've purchased this book- this one was for a friend. The way the book is written is like old friends talking. Comfortable, not so formal.
They explain things well and I've tried MANY of the recipes and have not found one I don't like. When friends ask me about eating vegan, this is in my top 3 cookbooks to recommend- and I collect cookbooks!

I'm a lacto-vegetarian but enjoy eating vegan. I started to teach my husband how to cook and starting with vegans recipes from this book was fabulous = they are simple but YUMMY recipes and you don't have to worry about over- or under-cooking the meat which helps timid chefs.

I give this book out as gifts to people who want to try vegan recipes or just something new. Most of the ingredients you already have in your kitchen already and just didn't know how to throw them together.

I love the easy-to-follow recipes and the irreverent attitudes of the authors! Brilliant!

I bought this book and am glad I did. There are no pictures of final dishes but that doesn't matter. You may enjoy the photos of the authors instead. If you need a cook book with quick fast recipes for everyday kind of meals this is a good vegan book to get. I like how the book references other pages in the book to complete a meal. Love the dressing recipes and how they are laid out in the book.

We entertain often and I'm going to get Colleen's new book "The Vegan Table" for larger groups.

Incredibly delicious recipes, easy, I add chicken if desired, but the spices used for the recipes make every dish fantastic!

As I have said before, Sarah's books are awesome and Sarah is the coolest. Go visit her and her super cute store in Victoria, BC! Oh, and make the Dragon Bowl on page 146 with the You-Must-Make-This-Dressing dressing on page 99. Yum.

This book is just as good as all their others. Great book for new vegans & old vegans alike. Also includes things like how to make sock monkeys & eye pillows. Very nice job ladies!
This book was one of a few Vegan cookbooks on my daughter-in-law's Christmas list. Their whole family is enjoying the results of her cooking - she's a wonderful cook (was even before they went Vegan)
