No recipe in this exceedingly large (and relatively heavy) cookbook is beyond a decent home cook. There are relatively few pieces of special equipment required, and the recipes are not fussy or demanding. Some of them may not be the prettiest ones on the dessert table, but they will probably be the ones that disappear first.
