Naruto, Vol. 01 book. If you like your peeps to level up, then you'll love this series. Volume one is but a tiny, tiny taste of some really great stuff, but it's how the people change and grow that brings me to my inevitable tears. Jul 29, 2015 Sean Gibson rated it really liked it. Buddy read with the inimitable Aja. An interesting start to my Manga career.

I've grown up with Naruto and it just feels like he's so real. He's become a part of my world with great inspiration and a great example of believing in yourself and following your dream to the end. Just reminiscing on past chapters is like traveling back in time. I still can't believe its over but highlighting some past favorites is fun & I would def recommend this to anyone who wants to feel nostalgic & or simply have a quick fun read.
i loved this series and it was in fact my first manga series. a big problem i had with the english versions was that many important devices etc. were censored because they werent deemed "appropriate". one big example is with a character named shikamaru. his master asuma dies in battle against against an evil organization. the master (asuma) smoked, and out of respect and in order to keep asuma living shikamaru starts to smoke. when the series was translated to english certain parts were cut out, like shikamaru smoking. niw in many panels it shows him holding a lighter but no ciggarette. now whike this may have been deemed inappropriate for a youhnger audience, this manga is rated teen, so this ommision was not necessary. other than these instances though, this is an amazing series that is deep and fun a must read.
I would recommended this book to a friend of mine.
I like this book because it has actions and funny parts
The resin I picked 5⭐'s is because it funny and has some parts to look up to have fun be yourself like Naruto does.
I loved the story. It's fun while still exploring real emotions that young children experience. Such as loss, friendship, feeling different, and determination. However, I didn't realize that there would be three different scenes with naked woman. Granted they are artfully covered with smoke, lines and curves make it perfectly clear that they are naked. It would have been nice to know this BEFORE I bought it for my 10 year old nephew. It was rather embarrassing.
I have some vague memories of watching the first couple episodes of the anime and this seems to be the story that was in those first couple episodes. I really enjoyed it, more than I enjoyed the anime, and I intend to continue reading the series. There is one point where Naruto sees something and calls it a "boulder" and it is clearly not a boulder and that bothered me though.
The quality is better than any regular manga, if you want you can read it and enjoy the story. But, for me I keep it as a trophy as it is a "Collector's Edition". All in all, very happy with it, if you are a true Naruto fan you must get this and show support by purchasing other volumes!
It's not a new story, but a collection of favorites by the creators. It was a pretty interesting look into why these chapters were chosen and what went into them.
Finally so SICK of the anime that I am picking up the manga. I was going to wait until the series ended, but if the anime studio is so horrible that they will cut to filler at the climax of the most important battle of the entire series, then I wash my hands of them. It's a treat to finally experience the REAL story without the confusing B.S. of the show.
