It's a contemporary character thrown into a fantasy setting. There are clear elements of adventure and romance. It's by Rumiko Takahashi, and I consider Maison Ikkoku a work of genius. There is so much here to love. So why don't I love it?

The manga series Inuyasha was written and illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi and serialized in Shonen Sunday from November 13, 1996, to June 18, 2008. The 558 chapters have been collected into 56 bound volumes by Shogakukan, with the first volume released in May 1997 and the final one in February 2009. Viz Media licensed the series for an English translated release in North America.

Rumiko Takahashi (高橋留美子, "Takahashi Rumiko"), born October 10, 1957, in Niigata (新潟市, Niigata-shi), Japan, is a female mangaka and the creator of the manga series InuYasha. She's also one of the most famous manga producers in Japan and possibly the richest woman in all of Japan as well. Rumiko Takahashi is also known to be the first female mangaka who gained major success in the shōnen manga genre which gained her the nickname Princess of Manga.

On March 16, 2009, Rumiko Takahashi collaborated with Mitsuru Adachi, creator of Touch and Cross Game, to release a one-shot story called My Sweet Sunday. Her latest manga series, Rin-ne started on April 22, 2009. This is Rumiko Takahashi's first new manga series since the end of her previous manga series InuYasha in June 2008. Sunrise was the first studio after Kitty Animation to adapt a major Rumiko Takahashi series. InuYasha debuted in 2000 and ended in 2004. The TV series went on for 167 episodes and spawned four major films.

This is another in the VizBig line of bundled manga books. The paper quality is excellent and all the drawing panels have been remastered and re-flipped back to their original Japanese right to left orientation.

This one covers Volumes 10 through 12 of the manga and continues the story of Inuyasha's and Kagome's quest for the missing shards of the Shikon Jewel. It is basically a collector's book and, as mentioned, renders the drawing panels in their "as drawn" configuration. Now you can read the manga as is was originally written, except translated into English. As a collection of three volumes, it has its own "original" cover, taken from some of the authors drawings. The original three book covers are reproduced at the end of the book and a couple of extra drawings are thrown in, as well, in that section.

This book is built to last a lot longer than the original comics Viz published. So it will make a nice addition to, or replacement for. anyone's collection. It's also a good volume for anyone who ever wanted to collect this manga.

The best part is that the remastered drawings are much clearer and cleaner than the original published manga volumes. Anyone who has read them will probably notice details they never saw before.

I already reviewed. But it several weeks ago, it arrived early than expected. Jolly good read, love the artwork. Wasn’t into that stuff until I saw the anime! Love stories like these!

This series was full of heart, full of mystery, full of action and adventure. The anime is wonderfully written and the soundtrack is superb. The manga is powerful. It contains alot of things the anime wasnt able to give you. There is alot more detail and alot more character elements in the manga. That being said every single piece of this wonderful series is worth buying and Amazon offers one of the best prices youll find to collect it without going bankrupt.

The InuYasha manga series is currently one of my favorites. Volume four I like because it has the thunder brothers in it. I like how Kagome claims that InuYasha is her true love, but when Hiten wants InuYasha to give him shikon shards in exchange for his "love", InuYasha doesn't try to play along with Kagome's little white lie, and InuYasha fights Hiten. Its very funny, and I like Shippo in this one. The story of the little girl spirit in this volume is a good story to. This is one of my favorite volumes. It's GREAT!!

I was delighted to find that the manga had arrived within a week of ordering it. It was nicely secured in wrapping when recieved and the manga itself was in excellent condition. I highly suggest students of the Japanese language/ epic fans of Inuyasha to read this manga. It really helps ease the tedious process of learning a new language, while enjoying the fun exploits of Inuyasha and the gang.
This particular manga deals with the introduction of Koga, the young leader of the wolf demon tribe and his interactions with Kagome and Inuyasha.
