Still reading it. The focus of this work was on Pinocchio, It was okay. Not a favorite but still in the quality of writing and drawing as all the other Grimm volumes. Needed it for the set, can't break up a series.

So you think you know the stories of the brothers Grim? No you don't. Not out of this series, anyway. Taking the tales of the bothers Grim and adding a new dimension of modern application and great artwork twists the Brothers in a modern morality play that does not always end "happily ever after". Pleasing artwork added to a modern slant of old fairytaleas gives a new perspective to the tales. Recommended.

In this compilation of issues number 31 to 36, the series got new artists, new ideas and something different...Belinda manages to lose several plots (very rare in former installments).

The story of "Pinocchio" in two parts and in two different styles/pacing. Its genial, it's creepy, it's haunting, and it's dramatic. The plot and art are so good that this is possibly one of the best stories told in the series.

"Three snake leaves" focus on what each of us would do to save our loved ones. And if it turned out to have side effects, what would you do then?

"Puss in the Boots" and "Dorian Gray" are linked in this mythology, and both focus the desire for immortality in an impressive story filled with emotion.

You will also find the conclusion of "the ugly duckling", more introspective and exploring Ted's past and his quest to get rid of "swans".

"The gift" is one small story about the metaplot, to link to the future use of the gifted artifact.

In the first edition (the dark one) you will get a magnificent cover gallery with art from the following artists: David Seidman; David Nakayama; Eric Basaldua; Talent Caldwell; J oe Prado; Al Rio; Joe Pekar; Ryan Stegman; Ron Adrian; Diego Bernad.

This is possibly one of the best compilations of the series (although with a reduced number of sexy ladies) giving an entire new breath to the series. Highly recommended.
