As in Steve Niles' previous graphic novel 30 Days of Night, I continue to like the edgy hand drawn looking artwork here, and the story is creepy and pretty interesting, Reminds me a bit if the tv show Dexter were situated in a noir crime setting with zombies. Curious to read the other issues.

Chuck BB added, "I think Steve and I find common ground with our passionate love of skulls. But this comic has a lot more to boast than simply skinned human craniums. It's a real story, with characters that I think Steve made easy to relate to. Personally, I'm just psyched to be making comics with Steve Niles, and drawing skulls to boot.

He got his start in the industry when he formed his own publishing STEVE NILES is one of the writers responsible for bringing horror comics back to prominence, and was recently named by Fangoria magazine as one of it's "13 rising talents who promise to keep us terrified for the next 25 years. The Secret Skull was created by Steve Niles and Chuck BB. She first appeared in her own 2004 mini-series, and would later reappear in the 2010 mini-series, Mystery Society, where she was illustrated by Fiona Staples, while still being written by Steve Niles.
