About book: How could he apologize again and get Rosemary talking to him if no one picked up? It would be so helpful to hear her voice, to regain the confidence he’d felt in her kiss- A loud knocking on the windowpane startled him out of his thoughts. This isn’t your private phone, Matt, a familiar voice reminded him. If it wouldn’t be too much trouble, I’d like to make a call. Emma was glaring at him through the glass.

Another spring reminds the Amish of Cedar Creek, Missouri, that for everything there is a season. Zanna Lambright is finally marrying Jonny Ropp, and friends and family have come from far and wide to celebrate. Among them is young widow Rosemary Yutzy, mother of toddler Katie, whose husband was tragically killed last fall. With a willing heart Rosemary has taken over care of her in-law’s family and continued to run a baked goods business from home, but privately she still mourns her lost Joe...and is unprepared for the changes that are coming... Rosemary’s father-in-law wants to merge his lamb-raising business with Matt Lambright’s—a move that will require the Yutzys to relocate from their nearby town to Cedar Creek. Moreover, it will bring Rosemary into constant contact with Matt, who is making no secret of his romantic interest in her. The challenges of contemplating a future unlike any she expected are overwhelming for Rosemary. And although Matt is strong and kind, his courtship is so persistent, she often wants to run the other way. As Rosemary struggles to see beyond her immediate joys and sorrows, will she embrace the outpouring of welcome and support from the people of Cedar Creek...and accept this new chance to open her heart to a more abundant life?

Rosemary is a young widow with a toddler, Katie, and they live with her father-in-law and his 12 year old daughter, Beth Ann. They all attend a wedding in the next district, where her father-in-law grew up. While there she meets Matt, who despite seeing she is wearing black, falls instantly in love with her and her little girl.

Circumstances bring them together often, even with a two hour buggy ride one way. Rosemary begins to have feelings for Matt, but feels it is too soon.

This is a tender story about how God's timing is not always what we want. Usually God works slower than we want, but in this case it is fun to see how God moved up the time table.

A very good story and would definitely recommend reading it. My only question would be in the order of these books. I am thinking this should have been book one and maybe one should have been two. No big thing, though. Definitely read both. They are good.

I was hoping the sequel to Abby and the folks of her towns first book would be just as good if not better and it truly was. It took me a good few days to finish it, but I just couldn't get enough of it; each page went together beautifully to form a wonderfully written book. This is also the first amish book where I have thoroughly enjoyed the character with the same name as me; Katie was a beautifully, bitter sweet girl I loved reading about, and also how Matt treated her with so much love. I hope that when I get the next book it will be written with as much sweat words and joys as the first two did.

This is a great book, author did a good job building the characters and the story line is very real life. We all know that no matter what religion you believe in people still make errors and life is how we deal with those errors and then make better choices to build the rest of our life on. While I am not Amish I do believe that their life style and beliefs give a much better family and community support system for their members.

This was great! I am glad she finally decided she could fall in love an marry after being hurt before. He was a good man too.
Loved this book. Again Naomi King takes the reader right into the lives of this Amish community of Cedar Creek as if we are there ourselves. Very real characters.
