The video that this workbook goes with is simply a word for word dramatic reading of the book, "The Treasure Principle". Therefore, the fill-in-the-blanks from the video are also word for word from the book. The discussion questions afterward are ok, but aren't good enough to justify the repetitiveness of the video.

This is an excellent resource which emphasizes a giving heart and attitude. I highly recommend it.

Although I agree 100% with each of Randy Alcorn's Treasure Principles in his book and the workshop, I believe this workshop prescribes some bad theology that takes Bible verses out of context and advances some non-biblical teachings. It also delves into some political realms that can be divisive in a mixed group setting. There are also some contradictions in the program as well; the program lifts Alcorn up as a hero for not owning anything due to a court judgement, but was still able to live his life comfortably through all assets going through his wife. Where was the sacrifice in that? My biggest critique is the idea that God blesses us differently so that we can help each other. There is no Biblical basis for this and advances the idea that God creates poverty and the poor are a standard of judgement for the rich. Our study group had a difficult time with this program. Although we all agreed that it wasn't a very good program, we did find our discussions about giving to be fruitful ones. As I said before, Alcorn's principles are dead-on, but the devil is in the details.
