Dreamality by Bob Coy

Frank said: I really enjoyed this book. Bob Coy, senior pastor of the seventeen thousand-member Calvary Chapel of Fort Lauderdale, believes that hope can be revived and we can rekindle in our heart the expectation of something more. Using the biblical story of Joseph as a running analogy, Coy looks to God as our dream-deliverer as well as the source of our dreams. He asserts that, as we come to understand God's heart toward us and the bigger picture of our lives, we can reclaim and live out our dreams.

Praise the Lord through your trials. Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all of your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths. I think pastor Bob is simply saying, don't let go of the plans that the Lord has for you. He talks about that in this book

Bob Coy is one of the best speakers around, even against the top secular speakers. He has an ability to communicate well and hit you where you are at. The Lord has really blessed him with the ability to communicate.

This book is great and brings the truth of dreaming and walking God's path in an easy to understand way that makes you see a new light to what it means to dream.

For those of you who do not know Bob Coy and are wondering if this book is worth it or who is Christ or how can this holy roller communicate to me, then you really want to find out who Bob Coy is. As an ex strip club manager and employee of one of the largest record labels, he has likely done more and experienced more than most even read about. This allows him to really share and communicate with practically anyone.

The only drawback to Bob Coy is his love for Florida football teams. Hey, we all can not be perfect!

I encourage you to read this book. If you want a taste of how well he communicates, check out [...].

As a footnote, I live in PA, where the real football resides.

Bob Coy stepped down from the Fort Lauderdale pulpit after admitting to adultery and an addiction to porn. Why does this page not mention this important event? I have nothing but sorrow and sympathy for Bob, but I want him to be honest. We can learn from his sin, and we can pray for his healing. We can love him back to restoration, but only if we deal with the facts. I know this isn't a book review, but when I saw this, and his author's page with no mention of his adultery, I was stunned.
I am a follower of pastor Bob. I attended Calvary when I lived in SE Florida. I can't explain his gift but it's rare and its beautiful. This book is a wonderful example. He knows, he just knows. It seemed to me in his sermons he was inside my head and knew what I was thinking, and this book is no different. Pastor Bob explains things in such a way that you feel it's relating you, personally. He relates situations in the bible to everyday modern situations that are easily understood. Like I said it's like he knows what I'm thinking. I know he's made mistakes, but he is human, like the rest of us and I am very sad that we are all deprived now of his gift. Maybe he will write another book on his experience about leaving the church and his relationship with God since then, one can only hope. Come back pastor Bob, you are missed.
