Nov 16, 2014 L rated it it was amazing. Marcus And Julius Find A Friend is a fun and easy-to-read young children's book that follows two Roman soldiers as they go about their duties and discover a little canine friend. It is charmingly illustrated and even has a short glossary at the end with words relevant to the time period. A delightful little book that aims to get children excited about history and learning from a young age.

William Shakespeare's play, The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, is mainly based on the assassination of Julius Caesar. Marcus Brutus, a servant and close friend to Caesar, has a strong relationship with Caesar but a stronger relationship with Rome and its people. Brutus is very close to Caesar. In Roman times, the only way for someone to get close to a person of high rank is if he/she is close to him/her. In many points of the play, Brutus was talking and next to Caesar. Brutus also loves Caesar but fears his power. In the early acts of the play, Brutus says to Cassius, What means this shouting?

Tom was at his father’s bedside at the family’s neat semi-detached home in Plymouth when Rob lost his five-year battle against cancer at . 5pm. With Tom was his mother Debbie, his younger brothers, William, 14, and Ben, 12, and all of his grandparents. Tom had postponed a commercial engagement in York on Friday as the family feared Rob would not survive the day. Previously ever-present at the poolside when Tom was competing, Rob was last seen in public in March, a month after doctors had discovered he had a second brain tumour. Tom was competing in Sheffield and Rob, clearly overwrought with.

I translated a portion of this diary some years ago, and a friend of mine printed a few copies in an incomplete form, but the public never got them. Since then I have deciphered some more of Adam's hieroglyphics, and think he has now become sufficiently important as a public character to justify this publication. This new creature with the long hair is a good deal in the way. It is always hanging around and following me about. I don't like this; I am not used to company.

Tom Sawyer is young, imaginative and mischievous and lives with his Aunt Polly and half-brother Sid in a Mississippi town. The story opens with Tom’s Aunt Polly looking for Tom to question him about some missing jam. He gets in trouble at school and as punishment, has to spend his Saturday whitewashing her fence while his friends are enjoying themselves. They have a tiff and Tom is off to the town graveyard with his best friend Huckleberry Finn, where they witness the wicked Injun Joe murder Doctor Robinson. When this comes to light, Injun Joe blames Muff Potter. Through the book, you will sense the moral, psychological and intellectual development of Tom, its central character. A beautifully written story, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer combines the past with the present in a way that the reader will personally identify with.
