Gather few different seeds and let them grow through the children's nuture of them 2) Even without the activity this book can stand-alone in exploring different seeds and the vegetable/fruit they come off of. ( ) Josh17 Sep 5, 2017. This book is about a little bear that gets a gift from his grandpa and discovers a lot about all kinds of different seeds and where they come from. I would definitely recommend this book for teachers in grades K-2. It would be great to have the kids follow along with what Bubba Bear does and discover some of the same things

In one bag, for example, there are different kinds of seeds which Buddy pastes onto colored paper and which are reproduced photographically in the book for accurate identification. In another bag, there are cards that show how seeds grow. As Buddy sorts, collects, eats, and creates with seeds, he learns plenty about growth and germination, making this introduction both entertaining and educational.

This is perfect for a child fascinated by Mother Earth.
It was longer than I anticipated, but full of good information.
Perhaps fewer seeds would’ve kept me more engaged.

Kids aren't always drawn to it by the cover but the story and message is good.

I am using this books as a basis for a science literture kit that will talk about the growth of seeds. I found the book to very engaging and colorful. The pictures help to show kids the seeds with great clarity. The wording is simple yet still a little challenging for a K-3 grades. I really enjoy this book as a teacher and I feel that it is a delightful addition to any library.
