Trivia About Imagine.

In a playful back-and-forth, Imagine asks you to envision everyday events as wondrous and magical occurrences. The ordinary scenes of childhood are illustrated in luxurious black-and-white, while the magical settings are in full, vibrant color. With just a twist of the imagination, a little girl looking at a toy dancer becomes a prima ballerina, a boy crossing a log becomes a tightrope walker, and a simple tree house becomes a grand castle. Endless possibilities and creative explorations await. You only have to Imagine. Photograph by Adam Flikkema.

Parenting expert, popular speaker, and bestselling author of The Blessing of a Skinned Knee returns with a revelatory new book for parents of teenagers.

In The Blessing of a Skinned Knee, author Wendy Mogel introduced a new approach to parenting, one that drew its fundamental principles from Jewish wisdom and emphasized resisting overprotection of our children. With its combination of insight and practicality, the book became a word-of-mouth success and made Mogel a much sought after speaker.

Now, in the long-awaited follow-up to her perennial seller, Mogel addresses the question she is asked most frequently: how to be a parent in a culture that breeds anxiety and fragility in older children and teens by placing too high a value on perfection and success. Applying concepts from mussar (a Jewish system of character refinement that focuses on ethical behavior) and other teachings, Mogel shows parents how to stop overindulging or pressuring their children and instead focus on developing sound judgment. By practicing composure, detachment, acceptance, moderation, integrity, authority, and delight—the traits covered in the seven chapters—parents will not only uncover an appreciative and reflective relationship with their children, but will also set an example of the adults they want them to become.

An important and inspiring book, The Blessing of a B Minus encourages parents to see beyond the drama of teenage crises and the competitiveness of college applications to the goal of raising resilient, optimistic adults.

I was looking for a graduation gift for a few high school seniors and was delighted to find this book to be a great alternative to the Dr. Seuss classic. It's beautifully written and illustrated; more importantly, it elegantly communicates the possibilities for all of us. Don't mistake this for a children's book - it' a timeless classic appropriate for anyone capable of being inspired by the beauty and simplicity of everyday events.
Wonderful book. Excellent drawings. It was bought as a gift and was liked very much. Ready for the second book to come out
Exploring children's dreams that come true, this book offers simple sentences and hopes accompanied with beautiful pictures. The images spark the reader's imagination to dream of his or her own future.

I paired this book with a nonfiction book about Martin Luther King with my first graders in the library. After discussing his dream, the kids wrote about their own dreams, and I think reading the book and discussing MLK's dream encouraged them to imagine big.
I bought this book for my neice and she absolutely loved it. I was was so personally impressed by it's inspiring content, in addition to the melodic artistry, that I bought a second copy in the hopes of someday passing it on to my own child.
This book was introduced to me while involved in a college course for teachers. I decided to give this book to my daughter as a graduation gift. The illustrations are beautiful and the words inspiring. Truly a message for all that your dreams can become a reality as you create your own destiny.
