Indian Tribes of North America Coloring Book (Dover History Coloring Book) by Peter F. Copeland

Series: Dover History Coloring Book. This is a wonderful coloring book which is actually quite authentic. Tony hasn’t joined the coloring book craze yet, (he’s a former Marine). Lol! However, I gave him a nice set of colored pencils when I gave him the coloring book, so I have hopes he will give it a try. He did tell me he enjoyed the pictures and believed their depiction was accurate.

Just as many of the Dover Books Series these coloring pages are beautiful illustrations.
If you are using this book for educational purposes, there are some Issues with content. Not recommend as educational material due to the writers disrespect of the subject of some of the tribes. [it heavy on the bias and negative commentary] .
The book does an excellent job introducing the names of some of the major tribes of North America on page 46 and his introduction was O.K.
I would recommend locating another resource for content and disregard the commentary on the pages.

I happen to work with a Pawnee American woman. She was thrilled to see the caption below the picture. I take on faith that the rest of the material is as accurate as the Pawnee info is. It arrived promptly and in good condition.

I am Native American and I loved this coloring book. I got it for my birthday. I just wish there were more tribes in this book. I know it's a small book and there are hundreds of tribes out there. But it is beautiful done and the information provided is wonderful.
