GoodLike
I was looking for a book for a mixed race child (who will be considered African American) that had characters she could identify with and that expanded her world. This book has a catchy rhyme based on place names that are fun to say like Bucharest and Katmandu (somehow they missed my favorite, Ouagadougou) and items brought back for the niece that fit the rhyme. I wish this edition were still in print. I would get others for other children, particularly for some African immigrants. It would also be good for white children who need books that show that black children are worth having a whole book featuring just them

Very cute book and was the perfect gift for my niece since we resemble the characters and I love to travel lol. The rhymes are very cute and I'm sure she'll want to learn about the places mentioned. She's only 1 and a half now but once she learns to read this will be my first choice for a bedtime story.

This is a beautifully illustrated book with a catchy rhythmic rhyme. My toddler enjoys having it read, pointing out the items auntie brought and frequently looks at the book on his own.

Love it This was a good purchase. You get what you pay for and more. I hope to get many years out of it
I love this book. It is perfect for smaller kids who like to see colorful pictures and want to turn the pages. It takes you all over the world and introduces them to far away places. Most importantly, my African American 2year old son gets a chance to see characters who look like him. Also, he learned in different languages how to say good bye. He sometimes skips to the end and likes saying the words of the last page with me! "Ciao, Adios, Sayonara, Aloha .... BYE!"
