just a perfect book with color windows that shows how colors combine. Beautiful simple playful illustrations. A rainbow at the end.

Great book for teaching colors and animals! My daughter loves the raindrop windows. This is a simple book for little ones, but it also has so many details that it is a book that grows with your child. It becomes a fast favorite and one I give as a gift often.

I absolutely love this book! I bought it for my grandchildren as well as the granddaughter of a good friend. I am very lucky because I know the author personally! I didn't realize that I knew her until after I bought and read the book!! I love the artwork and the fact that it's a very easy read appropriately aimed at the "younger crowd." Please write more books like this one!

If you want a fun versatile board book that is a learning experience in itself, "Raindrops" is one of the more interesting ones I've seen in some time. The simple dialogue will be quickly memorized by your preschooler giving he or she that "I can read" feeling as they turn the pages. The text and visuals will enable the small child to "decipher" words on the page while the bright, vibrant colors are learned as you reintroduce them each time the book is read. The pages are durable, easy to turn and are very appealing.

"Blue butterfly
Red Rooster
Purple parrot
Pink pig
GO! GO! GO!
Red robin
Yellow yak
Orange octopus
White whale
GO! GO! GO!
Yellow bumblebee
Blue beetle
Green grasshopper
Black bear
GO! GO! GO!
Raindrops and sun
bring lot of fun . . .
. . . and a rainbow!"

After your preschooler recognizes colors, the book may be put aside for a while, but when they reach Kindergarten would be the perfect time to reintroduce this unique book to show the child how colors are blended to make new colors. There are "die-cut raindrops with a see-through shaded acetate" (very durable) that can be flipped over another color quickly showing how colors are blended. For example, one page has a red robin, the second a yellow yak. When the page is turned, the colors blend and you have an orange octopus. If you are looking for an ingenious, unique, educational and FUN book that will delight your little one, this is one you might want to consider!

My daughter loves this book. I got it when she was 10months (maybe?). We both love the bright, simple, and friendly pictures. And she loves the book so much that when we get to the "go, go, go" pages, she "reads" them ;-) (she's now 15 months). It's one of my favorite books in her library.

This book was recommended by a co-worker and my 18 month son loves it. I always let him choose what book we read and everytime I give this book as a choice he picks it! He loves to look through the color raindrop windows and points at all the pictures (tries to smell the flowers etc). I think this book would be good for a younger child as well, but certainly great for a 18 month old. Lots of color and great pictures.
