This is the fourth book in the Asian Arts and Crafts for Creative Kids series, and introduces kids to the fascinating art of Japanese flower arranging. Kids will learn all the steps for creating beautiful. I was hoping for even more simplified ikebana instructions that I could use with children age 6-8 but I think this is a book more suited for teens and clueless adults like me! That's OK, I was still able to get inspiration from the photos and instructions and give a simpler lesson to the children. This is the only children's ikebana book, in English, that I know of. Children really appreciate beauty. The kids in my class really enjoyed learning about creating beauty through ikebana. I found this book very helpful.

Another great book in the series. Really helped me teach my little kid art class in this subject. Just the right amount of detail not to overwhelm, but enough to get started making simple arrangements. Could have more and bigger pictures of finished products.

I just started an Ikebana class (I'm 59). The textbook is way over my head. I bought this one and it has helped a great deal.

I love this series of books for my classroom. They've been wonderful for me to read and review and also for my students to read. The illustrations are great, the information is comprehensive and at a child's level, making it great for adults who don't know anything about it to pick up.
