We bought this book for our grandchildren after bringing them to the museum where the curators read it to them. It is a fun story of showing your creativity through painting. The grandkids loved it!

My son is 2 and very into picture books. We loved this book. The writing is short and clear and used words that my son enjoyed repeating back spontaneously. We definitely went over shapes and colors together as we read. The illustrations are especially colorful, vibrant. The contrast and the "messy" paintings that the kids in the book made really interested my son. Paint was everywhere and that excited him. The last picture of the completed painting was especially nice and we looked at that for a while. I'd highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a picture book about art.
