Like Betty White’s 2011 release, If You Ask Me (And of Course You Won’t), 1987’s Betty White: In Person is a collection of Ms. White’s perceptions, thoughts, and feelings on various topics and life itself ranging from the obvious (show business) to heartfelt areas such as lov Betty White never gets ol. I have to admit that even though I LOVE Betty White, this book took me awhile to both get into and just to read which is funny because if I ever wrote a book, it would be exactly like this. Before anyone wonders (because I did at first) this is in no way an autobiography or memoirs. It is more like her thoughts on several subjects related to her life. In this book she talks about her thoughts on her career, love, life, the past, the future, memories, etc.

This book was an easy read for those few moments, between tasks, when you just need a break from the anger, injustice, and ugliness of the world. Betty White appears to be that hardworking, upbeat gal that we feel like we know from TV. I was shocked to find how relevant her observations are so many years later. I guess the truth remains relevant.

Wasn't what I expected. I thought it was more about her life. I just saw her PBS special and wanted to learn more about her life. This however turned out to be enjoyable
I love Betty WHite - her books show her true human-ness and her love of animals. She has such a beautiful heart and such a sweet sense of humor. I am 69 and have always wanted to be just like Betty "when I grow up"! She is such an inspiration as she had a wonderful love, Allen Ludden, and never gets in the toilet, but gets her point across. She is such a doll and I hope she is around for a long, long time to come!
This book, written over 25 years ago, explains much about the person, Betty White, and why she continues to be so beloved. Her common sense, humor, and honesty shine throughout this book. It's no wonder, at 92, she is still delighting us on her new hit show "Hot in Cleveland" . Not only a great read, this book is also a teaching tool - if only we could all reflect her personality in our own lives! What a wonderful world this would be :)
I understand that I am far from the target audience for this Betty White kindlebook. However, I recently had a dream where Betty White was riding on a colorful train surrounded by other happy people and I noticed that she was spiritually glowing. This inspired me to read up on some information on a person who has managed to still stay self-confident and happy in life through both good times and challenges. Sure enough this kindlebook of Betty White In Person by Betty White illustrates how Betty White has turned even some of her challenges into triumph. Among the following in this inspiring kindlebook; Betty White discusses with great affection the strong connection that she had with her husband. White also had a good relationship with her mother who gave support whenever she could when it came to her marriage. White also candidly shares why she thinks that she chose to avoid remarrying despite the close and happy marriage that she shared with her late husband who meant so much to her (Allen Ludden). White also pays tribute to some of the fans who wrote her during their lifetimes; they came from different places such as Indiana, Wisconsin, Australia, England etc. She also explains why writing is therapeutic to her (when the urge to get something out of her system by writing it down is irresistible) and much more.
