Tye's book is by far the shortest, though. Length is never a great indicator of quality, but in this case it might be. My English studies background flared me to anger at times reading this book because of the many typos and grammatical errors. It seemed as if little care went into the writing of this book.

For someone that has not experienced a small church, it might be insightful. A very informative on the small membership church. Good for smaller churches to read.

Christian education is a vital part of the overall ministry of the church. It provides those in the church an opportunity to explore and understand their faith in unique ways beyond what may be accomplished through other church ministries. If the church is going to remain strong and vibrant in an ever-changing and increasingly pluralistic culture, then providing its members with a strong foundation on which to stand must be a part of it. This foundation is effectively built, among other things, through Christian education.
